The Formula We Use For Reducing Blood Pressure, Addressing Heart Health and Ridding Edema (Fluid Retention)

It never fails that when hubby gets a bad headache his blood pressure goes through the roof. Actually, when he’s in pain from anything, his blood pressure goes up. As I type this, he’s currently on the mend from one of these episodes. When we first checked his BP it was 176/102, pulse 76. In less than 45 minutes it is now down to 152/95, pulse 58, and still going down. This isn’t our first rodeo and this formula has worked without fail every time we’ve used it. It has also worked on others who have used it for their blood pressure and edema issues. And guess what! It is a heck of a lot better than running to the ER to be pumped full of health destroying chemical cocktails after waiting 5 hours to be seen in the first place. In 5 hours he’ll have been back to normal for at least 3 hours! 🤦🏼♀️ So, we don’t panic, think the worst and run scared to pharmakeia doc gods! We believe the Creator has provided everything we need for healing. I pity those who don’t realize this, as they’ll always be running scared straight into the next medical trap - meds, surgeries, vaccines, you name it. I’ve seen the scared and unprepared faithless mentality rule peoples’ lives and leave them at the mercy of the next doc god to “fix” them. It’s heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time.
So, what’s in the formula?
A herbal blend of Hawthorn, Queen Anne’s Lace, Motherwort, Willow, Hibiscus, and Rose Hips is especially beneficial for lowering blood pressure, supporting heart health, removing excess fluid, and even addressing pain (which is sometimes the cause of high blood pressure). Here’s how the combination works to address both cardiovascular health and hypertension:
1. Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.)
• Cardiovascular support: Hawthorn strengthens the heart and improves circulation by dilating blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. This helps reduce the workload on the heart and lowers blood pressure over time.
• Antioxidants: Its rich antioxidant content protects blood vessels from oxidative damage, improving elasticity and preventing long-term cardiovascular issues that could raise blood pressure.
2. Queen Anne’s Lace (Daucus carota)
• Mild diuretic: Acts as a diuretic, helping the body remove excess fluid, which reduces blood volume and pressure. By gently reducing fluid retention, Queen Anne’s Lace lowers the pressure on the circulatory system.
• Support for kidney function: This herb supports healthy kidney function, which is important for regulating blood pressure through the body’s natural filtration and fluid balance processes.
3. Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
• Nervine action: Motherwort is calming for the nervous system, which can help alleviate stress and anxiety-related spikes in blood pressure. This is particularly helpful when pain is causing stress, which in turn increases blood pressure.
• Heart regulation: It also helps regulate heart rhythm, supporting a steady heartbeat, which can lower overall blood pressure levels.
4. Willow (Salix spp.)
• Pain relief: Willow bark contains salicin, a precursor to aspirin, which has analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-inflammatory properties. By reducing pain, Willow helps relieve one of the key drivers of stress-induced high blood pressure.
• Anti-inflammatory: The anti-inflammatory properties reduce systemic inflammation, which is often a contributing factor to hypertension, especially when blood vessels are irritated or inflamed.
5. Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa)
• Diuretic effect: Hibiscus acts as a natural diuretic, lowering blood pressure by reducing excess fluid in the body. This directly reduces the volume of blood the heart needs to pump, decreasing the strain on the heart.
• Vasodilation: Hibiscus also helps dilate blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing vascular resistance, which in turn lowers blood pressure.
6. Rose Hips (Rosa spp.)
• Rich in antioxidants: Rose hips are packed with vitamin C and other antioxidants, which improve blood vessel health and elasticity, helping to reduce blood pressure.
• Anti-inflammatory: Their anti-inflammatory properties support overall cardiovascular health by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels due to inflammation.
How the Blend Works Together:
1. Pain relief (via Willow) is critical in reducing stress-induced hypertension. When pain causes stress, it activates the body’s sympathetic nervous system, often leading to elevated blood pressure. By reducing pain, Willow helps break this cycle, allowing the other herbs to more effectively lower blood pressure.
2. Nervous system support (via Motherwort) complements this by calming the stress response, helping the body shift out of a “fight or flight” state that raises blood pressure.
3. Diuretic action (via Queen Anne’s Lace and Hibiscus) helps eliminate excess fluid, reducing the volume of blood in the body and directly lowering blood pressure.
4. Cardiovascular support (via Hawthorn and Hibiscus) works to improve heart function, dilate blood vessels, and ensure blood is flowing efficiently, easing the strain on the heart.
5. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support (via Rose Hips, Hawthorn, and Willow) helps protect and heal blood vessels, ensuring they remain flexible and healthy, which is essential for maintaining lower blood pressure.
Specific Benefits for Pain-Related Hypertension:
• Willow (we prefer an ash tincture) tackles pain and inflammation, which reduces the sympathetic nervous system’s overactivation. It is also a blood thinner.
• Motherwort provides emotional and physical relaxation, important for keeping blood pressure low in the presence of pain.
• Hawthorn and Rose Hips improve circulation and ensure the heart can function effectively, even under stress.
• Hibiscus and Queen Anne’s Lace address fluid retention, which is common in stress-induced high blood pressure.
Together, these herbs create a powerful blend for managing high blood pressure, especially when pain and stress are the primary contributors. The blend balances the body’s response by addressing both the cardiovascular and nervous systems, reducing inflammation and providing relief from pain.
“Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
“Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Psalms 103:2-5
“By the river banks, on both sides, will grow every tree for food, whose leaf won’t wither, neither will its fruit fail. It will produce new fruit every month, because its waters issue out of the sanctuary. Its fruit will be for food, and its leaf for healing.”
Ezekiel 47:12
